BBC TopGear contracted special effects company "The Rocket Men" to convert a Reliant Robin 3 wheeler into a Space Shuttle and launch it from a UK military range. Airborne Engineering supplied various facilities including a special launch control system to ignite the Top Gear Shuttle's 6 hybrid rocket engines and also provided consultancy on the initial aerodynamic design of the Reliant Robin "orbiter".
