Airborne Engineering helps break hot air balloon world record

On 26th November 2005, Dr Vijaypat Singhania broke the world record for hot air balloons. His capsule carried an innovative kerosene burner system built by Andy Elson and controlled by Airborne Engineering's fuel pump control product, FPC-03.

To capture footage during the flight, the balloon carried Airborne Engineering's RPS-01 product. The RPS-01 comprises 4 video recorders, an 8x4 video matrix and a power switching system, all remotely controlled via a RS422 serial link from the capsule's telemetry unit.
